What blush are you wearing? It’s amazing!
Speaking about reasonable cosmetic surgery, I find people are ridiculous about how angry they get over it. If you don’t want cosmetic surgery, don’t do it!!! But don’t get upset about other people doing it. I find that most adults that hate when people have CS done fall into two categories: 1. They don’t have the money themselves and they’re sort of jealous, or 2. they don’t want people to be able to get surgery to be as good looking as them, when they were born with good looks – like it’s unfair.
Trend rigidity is something that I always find kind of fascinating – as someone who grew up with a generation that had an aversion to a centre part, it was interesting to watch it become a ‘new thing’ again, and then considered a standard just the way the side part once was and here we are with folks not wanting to change it, who will be viewed by the side part gen the same way as the side part was….always so cyclical. I hope that people learn to embrace and enjoy whatever feels good, and to feel happy and flexible to change to whatever they feel like doing, while hopefully feeling mentally healthy, loved, supported and happy. Beauty and fashion should be about having fun and being able to morph and change, and hopefully one day, less about the awful pressure that people ascribe to it. About freedom, rather than restrictions and permanent or harmful interventions, whatever those look like. At 52 I’ve never enjoyed my appearance more, and I love aging and playing with beauty and looks in a way that just feel inspiring. Wishing everyone out there well, and know that you are beautiful, and lovable just as you are.
Face surgery in a woman’s 20s is sad. Men are doing it too.
It’s the influence of Korean makeup and skincare technology with lasers like V Lift and the cool toned nude 90s look.
